Game Rules and Participants

 

Mon 2/2

Academic Bowl - Religion: Please submit the names of two (2) students to represent your grade.  These students will appear on television on a quiz show hosted by Mr. Molnar.  You may want to seek the advice of Religion teachers of your grade for contestants.  Scores will be determined by total points - 4 for winner, 3 for runners-up, etc.  (4 3 2 1 scoring).

 

Volleyball: Co-Ed Volleyball is a lunch game.  FOR ALL LUNCH GAMES IN THE GYM, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR SNEAKERS.  Please inform your participants of this rule.  Please sign up 6 players per lunch period - 4 boys and 2 girls.  Sign-ups can be handled at the moderator’s discretion - meeting, list in classroom or cafeteria, etc.  Games will last about 15 minutes with the Juniors vs. Seniors playing first (about 10 minutes into the lunch period) followed by the Freshmen vs. Sophomores.  Top overall record receives 4 points (4 3 2 1 Scoring)

 

Tue 2/3

Guess the Teacher: Each homeroom will be given a score sheet. Three sentences will be stated about the faculty member - homerooms will guess the teacher.  Moderator involvement will be not necessary for this event.  Since there are different numbers of homerooms per grade, scores will be based on a grade average. Top average receives 4 points, etc.

 

Wed 2/4

Handball Rules: 2 teams of 5 players face off against each other. The first team to score 5 amount of points wins.  In the event that no team scores 5 points, the team that is leading when time is up will be declared the winner.  1 player from each team will be in the net while the other players serve as offense/defense.

 

The ball can be passed around from player to player, but if a player has the ball they can take no more than 2 steps forward/backward with the ball, but they can pivot/step in place to turn toward other players.

 

Players on the other team can block, intercept and catch the ball. However, at no time can any players but the goalie be in the key around the goalie's area

Fri 2/6

Spelling Bee: Spelling Bee is in the cafeterias, Junior vs. Senior and Freshman vs. Sophomore.  You need only one contestant per lunch period for your grade.  Top overall record receives 4 points (4 3 2 1 Scoring)

 

Mon 2/9

Tue 2/10

Songs will be played over the TV.  Homerooms will name the song and artist.  Moderator involvement will be not necessary for this event.   Since there are different numbers of homerooms per grade, scores will be based on a grade average.  Top average receives 4 points, etc.

 

Hula Hoop: Hula Hoop is in the cafeterias, Junior vs. Senior and Freshman vs. Sophomore.  You need Two (2) contestants per lunch period for your grade.  Top overall record receives 4 points (4 3 2 1 Scoring)
